It's really my own dumbass fault here for trying to get invested too quickly. She's begun a fairly aggressive treatment for Lyme disease that messes with everything. She's said all along that where she is right now unable to see more than a couple months into the future because she doesn't know how this treatment is going to go. It's entirely possible that things could do some neurological wizardry and she could wake up tomorrow and realize that what she feels for me isn't actually affection, but rather revulsion. She could well recoil in horror at the very sight of me next time I see her. She has no idea what could happen and that's got to be pretty scary on her end, so potentially getting tied up in a relationship isn't the brightest of ideas at the moment.
